BANANA NUT BREAD

Good morning! we're so glad you stopped by,hope that you are having a wonderful & blessed week so far, part of our catching up is to share a wonderful recipe I receive from my hubby's grandmother, I've had it for over 30 years & she had it since she was a young bride, it doesn't take very much to make at all & the best part is you'll be amazed how it makes 2 just right, we hope you enjoy our Grandma Lucille's Banana nut Bread

BANANA NUT BREAD

1/2cup shorting( I use butter Criso)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs(beaten)
2 cup flour(self rising)
1/2 cup nuts(chopped)
4-5 banana's (slightly over ripe)

Blend sugar, shortening & eggs, add flour gradually, add bananas mashing as you add them, I usually add more banana's depending on the size of them

with butter grease 2 regular sizes meatloaf or bread loaf pans, divide batter between the two, each pan will be 1/2 full, trust me they will rise to the top, let cool till cool enough to remove from pans

SUNDAY SELECTIONS

Welcome to Sunday selections, we pray that where ever you are today that you are having a blessed day, today's selection is Victory IN Jesus written by E.M.Bartlett, born in Waynesville MO, Dec.24 1884,after suffering a stroke that left him unable to speak & paralyzed on one side, he began to focus on healing that is offered through Jesus & as his body weakened he began to ponder on Heaven & as his pain began to increase he began to think about the victory over his pain

VICTORY IN JESUS

I heard an old, old story
How a Savior came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary
To save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning,
Of His precious blood’s atoning,
Then I repented of my sins
And won the victory

(chorus)

O Victory in Jesus,
My Savior, forever,
He sought me and bought me
With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him,
And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory,
Beneath the cleansing flood

I heard about his healing of his
Cleansing power revealing how he
Made the lame to walk again & he
Caused the blind to see,and then
I cried dear Jesus, come & heal
My broken spirit and some how Jesus
Came& brought to me the victory

(chorus)

I heard about a mansion, he has
Built for me in glory, and I heard
About the streets of gold beyond the
Crystal sea, about the angels singing
And the old redemption story, and some
Sweet day, I'll sing up there, the
Songs of Victory

(chorus)

DEATH COMES QUICKLY

Rev.3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne even as I also

overcame and am set down with my Father in his throne

As some of you may have read on my sisters blog(pickets place) we have lost a dear cousin this week, please offer up a prayer for that family, as sister stated it would take way too long to list all the memories & good times growing up together, we all grew up together, we raised children, saw God move mightily within our homes, saw children grow up together & have families of their own, became grandmothers together, we walked down a few rough roads together as well but aways stood strong for each other, believing God to see us through

I thank each & everyone of you for visiting my blog, please bare with us a few days as we will be with family most of this week

BEGINNINGS OF FALL

Seems like Fall is in the air these days, more so for others, here in Ala. it's just a tease ~lol~ but one can't help to start getting in the Fall mood with all the stores bombarding us with all their Fall glory ~lol~ today we start today with one corner of the porch, first you need a scarecrow & supplies such as flowers, pumpkins, anything to your liking, you can't go wrong with Fall decor

Now decide what you want to compliment your scarecrow, he even looks good standing alone, I chose to put him in a hay bail, surround him with flowers,a pumpkin, I found the sweetest sign at Michael's to hang on his arm, there was a crow that I may have to go back & get for his shoulder ~lol~

we hope you've enjoyed show-n-tell today, be sure to visit again as we add more Fall awwness the porch
