SUNDAY SELECTIONS

Oh how I love to find links to the music of our Sunday Selections & what a double delight when we can find the track to one for those who have never heard the song before or to simply sing along, todays selection is JOY UNSPEAKABLE

http://library.timelesstruths.org/music/Joy_Unspeakable/lofi/

JOY UNSPEAKABLE

I have found His grace is all complete
,He supplieth every need;
While I sit and learn at Jesus’ feet,
I am free, yes, free indeed.

Refrain:
It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Full of glory, full of glory;
It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Oh, the half has never yet been told.

I have found the pleasure I once craved,
It is joy and peace within;
What a wondrous blessing, I am saved
From the awful gulf of sin.

I have found that hope so bright and clear,
Living in the realm of grace;
Oh, the Savior’s presence is so near,
I can see His smiling face.

I have found the joy no tongue can tell,
How its waves of glory roll;
It is like a great o’erflowing well,
Springing up within my soul.

SUNDAY SELECTIONS

We pray that you are having a wonderful blessed day today, one of our selections for today is an old classic hymn "standing on the promises" Are you standing firm on what God has promised you today, I see God's promises unfold in my life everyday, some are still yet to come

(2nd Corinthians 1:20) says For all the promises of God in him are yea and in him Amen unto the glory of God

click here to listen http://www.hymnsite.com/lyrics/umh374.sht

if you do nothing but read the song, begin to read it & let it feed your soul

Standing on the Promises

R. Kelso Carter

Standing on the promises of Christ my King
Through eternal ages let His praises ring
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing
Standing on the promises of God

Standing, standingStanding on the promises of God my Savior
Standing, standing I'm standing on the promises of God

Standing on the promises that cannot fail
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail
By the living Word of God I shall prevail
Standing on the promises of God

Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord
Bound to Him eternally by love's strong cord
Overcoming daily with the Spirit's sword
Standing on the promises of God

Standing on the promises I cannot fall
Listening every moment to the Spirit's call
Resting in my Savior as my all in all
Standing on the promises of God

Alternate verse:

Standing on the promises I now can see
Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me
Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free
Standing on the promises of God

May you have a wonderful blessed day today!!!!!

BAKED APPLES

It's time to tempt your tummy again ! I was looking through Paula Deens recipes & came across baked apples, I remember how my husbands grandmother would core out apples & add sugar & butter & bake for a quick dessert when company stopped by, this recipe not only brought back sweet memories but made me want to run out for apples lol I think I will try this recipe this weekend

Baked Apples

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/2 cup sugar 6 same-size Granny Smith apples 2 tablespoons butter, cut into 6 teaspoon-size pieces 1 cup apple juice 6 sprigs fresh mint

Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Combine cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar in a small bowl. Set aside.
Core apples, making sure not to puncture the bottom of the apples so that the juices will remain. Remove skin from 1/2-inch around top of apples at the opening. Fill each cavity with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Top each apple with a teaspoon of butter. Place apples in casserole dish and pour apple juice around them. Cover pan with aluminum foil and bake for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh mint, and serve.
Cook Time 15 min

SUNDAY SELECTION

It's been a busy weekend, our pastor & his wife are in Hawaii, with my husband having to work it left me having to wear many different hats for the Sunday morning service lol
I sang this song this morning, it speaks of forgiveness,Gods word tells us in Philippians 3:13 to forget those things which are behind and to reach forth to those tings that are before us
HOW DEEP IS THE SEA
Oh how sweet the words, child you're forgiven
He spoke to my soul, that night I knelt in prayer
It's hard to believe he would take my tattered garment
And give me a robe of solid white to wear
(chorus)
How deep is the sea
where my sins have all been buried
I don't want to be reminded of the one I was before
What God has forgiven, he has also forgotten
And they'll never be remembered against me anymore
My mind can hardly fathom, this worlds vast deminsion ,Time & space has always marveled me
So I could not start to guess how far the East is from the West
But that's how far my sins have been removed from me
(chorus)
(tag)
No I can't help but wonder
How deep is the sea
How deep is the sea
