"I want to know more about My Jesus

piano

Praise & worship songs  can be known as the best thing since buttered biscuits lol! but there’s always something  deep & meaningful about the older hymns, how many were raised on the “old red back hymnal”? If you love music you’ll really enjoy researching the older hymns & how they came about

I Want To Know More About My Lord was written by Lee Roy Abernathy

Lee Roy Abernathy was a wonderful asset to the world of gospel music. He contributed to the growth of gospel music in many ways. He was a masterful writer, arranger, promoter, and teacher of gospel music. He was quite creative in his techniques and his writings.

It’s not so much in what songs we sing, how we sing  them, what church we attend, which way we choose to serve God , our goal should be to simply crave to know him more

COOKIE KEEPERS

Last week I tried out  a few new cookie recipes on my ladies at the ladies meeting at church, I was happy with this  cherry chocolate kiss cookie, it’s a keeper!

cookie13

the lemon burst cookies is a keeper, although  it calls for plain flour,I may try using self rising flour  next time, but all in all they were good & tasted like lemon pie & didn’t last long   ,guess I’m just not use to flat cookies lol!

cookie14

then of course I had to make the Samoa's again, mercy they’re a mess to make but so worth it! it’s a keeper!

 cookie15

now tonight I tried my hand at  two new recipes, white chocolate & cherry shortbread cookies & lemon tea cookies, the recipe for the cherry said to roll & refrigerate & slice, that worked out good, just made for a small cookie, next time I will roll out & cut out in circles, but it made it to the  “it’s a keeper” file lol
 cookie16
now the lemon tea cookies, well what can I say ,there’s definitely a lot of tweaking to be done to make it to the keeper file, first the little well I made for the filling closed up lol  I think I cooked the filling too long, it got sticky & wouldn’t let go of the spoon LOL! there’s way too many new cookie recipes to try out to let one get the best of me
so many more cookies waiting to be discovered in my kitchen
Mascarpone Oreo Snowflake cookies
Carmel Pecan Cookies

HOT DIP????

I came across this recipe on pinterest & believe it’s the one my son-n-law whipped up the other night

Pinned Image

while visiting my daughter the other day, she asked if I’d ever had spinach dip, I said humm, yea , then she asked spinach & artichoke dip?humm ewww I think not! then again people may put it in & I just don’t know it LOL!, while we were busy in her make shift sewing room , hubby & son-n’-law was making this dip, served with toasted French bread it was surprisingly good

SPINACH & ARTICHOKE DIP

Ingredients:
1 bag frozen spinach, thawed and liquid drained from it (You can use less if you like)
1 cup light sour cream (you can also use plain yogurt)
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (you can also use Romano cheese)
1 cup light mozzarella cheese, shredded ( I put more)
8 oz reduced fat cream cheese
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 jar 14 oz artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
Preheat oven to 350F.
In a bowl mix spinach, sour cream, Parmesan, half the mozzarella, cream cheese and garlic.
Mix in artichokes. Place mixture on a oven proof dish and top with remaining mozzarella. Bake until bubbly for about 20-30 minutes.

I WANTTA PLAY OUTSIDE

here we go with interest again lol , really been cutting back on my pinterst , the best thing is not to go there when there’s work to be done lol but I have made some fantastic recipes, made some amazing crafts & found  lots of pictures that make me long for Spring, like I’ve got time to play in the yard yea right! lol! last year hubby ran over the hose pipe with the mower so maybe I’ll have time to do this

How awesome is this? A garden hose wreath! How cute would this be on a garden fence or on the door to a garage or potting shed?

I’ve had this picture in my fav’s for a at least 2 years perhaps this year I will actually do it,for I have a little house about this size lol

This is so cute....

did you know you can make dragon flies out of old ceiling fan blades & table legs

fan blades, table legs... awesome!

perhaps this will be the year there is hope for the yard , we’re still clearing & cleaning up from  the tornado, whether the yard gets  any pretty this year or not that’s ok for we are blessed with life & family & grand kids that keep us busy & little ones that keep us laughing
