TEMPT MY TUMMY /P.B.COOKIES

Did the holidays find you making all kinds of goodies, aww yes the holidays are a great excuse to bake our little hearts out, all that candy making, cookie rolling, pie making & the list goes on & on we feel compelled to make all the favorites, & grandma's fav's are a must then there's always the need to try out new things & a great place to find new & delicious things to try can be found at http://blessedwithgrace.blogspot.com/ where you will find tempt my tummy hosted by Lisa

When the last present has been passed out, opened & received, as you look around at all beauty of it all there's the thought of taking it down & carefully wrapping & putting it all away but just can't bring yourself to do it cause you're coming off that sugar high & there's not a cookie in sight, even the Christmas music has disappeared from the radio stations "sigh" well not to worry within 5 min you can have hot fresh cookies to get you going again LOL so come on let's make some cookies & clean house! whoo hoo!

EASY PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg
just enough flour to desired thickness
I use about a spoon full, the more flour the dryer the cookie

SUNDAY SELECTIONS

Welcome to Sunday selections, we hope today finds you well & blessed, have you heard that saying, too blessed to be stressed? don't let the holiday rush get you stressed but instead try to think on things that are true, like the true meaning of Christmas, things that are honest, do you do the right thing if you receive too much change back or notice an item unpaid when you get to the car, think on things that are pure, days when Christmas all about love & family, not about the gifts, think on things that are lovely, some of the sweetest Christmas memories are from my childhood, think on things that are of good report, let everything out of your mouth be good conversation, for if there be any virtue and if there be any praise think on these things, yes even in the struggles of Christmas you still praise him & give him thanks as a child has the faith to believe in Santa , believe that God will meet your every need this holiday season, our family seems to grow bigger every year as we are blessed with six granddaughters & more on the way & when we look into those precious faces blessed out weighs the stressed!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas !Today's thoughts are based on Philippians 4:6-8

PINK SAT. /CHRISTMAS MEMORIES

Welcome to pink Sat. for the month of Dec. Beverly has chosen Christmas themes for our Pink sat. post, oh what fun! today is base on childhood memories & well when you get to be up in years there's too many to choose from LOL LOL be sure to visit http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ where you'll not only meet our wonderful sweet Beverly but all the sweet pink participants , I'm sure they'll be lots of eye candy as well

Do you remember this stuff? LOL back in the day it was called tinsel & came in a little long flat box, mom would tell us to put it on the tree one strand at a time well you know what always happened don't you? LO before it was over with we became tired & weary of that silver stuff & began to throw it on the tree by the handfuls LOL , I began to ponder whether or not they still made this stuff, so I went on a search & lo & behold there it was! yea I'm resorting back into my childhood just a bit & determined that one of my trees will be drapped ever so glorious with this silver madness LOL

This sweet quilt also holds a very special Christmas memorie for me, it's 35 years old, will be 36 this Chrismas, it is a precious gift from Terry's grandmother, back in 75 she made all the married grandkids a quilt, it was my first year to be a part of the family & was so honored & touched that I could be a part of that, it hangs over our bed, tattered in a few places that just need a few stiches here & there, I believe she made 9 quilts that year, it's just a little something that makes me smile when I look at it
