SUNDAY SELECTIONS

Another beautiful week awaits us, what will you choose to do with it, seems as though we're all so busy with life in general , that we're burning the candle at both ends, I know I've been guilty of that many times,in Mark 1:35 we see that Jesus himself made alone time with God,(35) and in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out and departed into a solitary place, & there prayed

We're pulling out some old songs today that have powerful meanings,one being PRECIOUS BLOOD as you began to find that solitary place & have alone time with the Lord began to think what the blood means to you, ever wonder why people seem to be happy to give blood, blood is needed to sustain life for there is life in the blood, there is life in the blood of Jesus as he have his life so that we may live & have everlasting life

if you don't know this song , click here http://www.worshipmusic.com/6766710742.html

Verse 1: The blood that Jesus shed for me, way back on Calvary;

the blood that gives me strength from day to day,

it will never lose its power.

Chorus: It reaches to the highest mountain, it flows to the lowest valley;

the blood that gives me strength from day to day,

it will never lose its power.

Verse 2: It soothes my doubts and calms my fears,

and it dries all my tears;

the blood that gives me strength from day to day,

it will never lose its power.

Chorus

What a lovely hymn. You found one this a.m. that I have not heard before but oh the lyrics are so powerful. "Blood that calms my doubts and fears and gives me strength day to day." Thanks for sharing - I always look forward especially to your "Sunday Selections" & I fwd. your blog name to a friend re your vintage apron patterns suitable for framing - we love that idea!

What a sweet post! That hymn is very familiar although I don't think I have heard it in a long time. Now I want to make sure that I hear it soon!
Have a wonderful day!

What a lovely post. I haven't heard that hymn in many years!

Sweet Mildred at Nalley Valley told me about your vintage apron patterns and I just had to come take a peek!! I began sewing a few months ago and am in the process of decorating my sewing room in a way that will complement the Victorian/vintage decor in the rest of my apartment. Your vintage apron patterns are such a treasure!! You were so very generous to create an album that enables others to print out the apron patterns. I am collecting trading cards issued by sewing companies during the late 1800s and early 1900s. Once I have a sufficient number, I will have them framed and hang them in my sewing room. I can't wait to see more pictures of your sewing room!

Helen: I fwd. your post about framing vintage patterns to Linda at Threads of Loveliness. She references your blog today. If you haven't visited her yet, I think you two would have a lot in common!
