HOME MADE CHICKEN POTPIE


Welcome once again as we try to tempt your tummy with good old southern goodness, today's recipe is one that has been handed down from my 80 plus year old aunt, it's made the best way,from scratch & best of all it's quick, easy & makes it's own crust, so yes even with our busy on the go lifestyles we can still cook from scratch, be sure to visit our host Lisa over at http://blessedwithgrace.blogspot.com/

AUNT ANNIBELLS CHICKEN POTPIE
chicken ( I use about 8-10 tenders)
1 large can mixed vegetables
1 small chopped onion
4 eggs boiled & diced
1 can cream of chicken
cook chicken, add ingredients, stir & pour into casserole dish, prepare topping
TOPPING
1 stick of butter(melted)
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
mix well & pour over chicken mixture,it will begin to make it's own crust as it bakes, bake till lightly brown

I was just thinking today I would like to make a chicken pot pie and was thinking of looking up a recipe. Lo and behold, I came to your blog, and there it was. Thank you. This sounds like a good one and easy too.

I love chicken potpie. I use a similar recipe with veg-all and a bisquick topping.
