Extra...Extra....Computer Dies.....

Morning guys...it's me PICKET!!!!!! Yep I'm Nanna's sister & I know her code words! lol lol It just so happens 'Sister' called me this morning telling me her computer had died.....well of course I was just heart broken for her cause I went thru that same tramatic saddness here while back...so of course I felt her pain........but then I got over it & me being the greatest Sister in the world ask her did she want me to post anything for her on her blog....WELLLL...MY EARS ARE STILL RINGING FROM THAT LOUD NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
But I couldn't just let all her friends be out there wondering about her...so there I've done my good deed and no..she won't thank me for it...but I feel better in my heart knowing I did the right thing~~~~~~~
Now for your entertainment...let's have a little show & tell shall we....I mean what can she do...no computer...she doesn't know my pass words...it'd take her a good hour to get dressed and drive over here...let's share....
Here is sister in one of her rare baby pics...look at that face...ohhhhh such a sweet little dumpling & I am not using that word lightly here! That girl needed a training bra!!!!!
Oh how precious...here I am holding the little sweet tater in one of those photo booths....look at my glorious blond curls...I have to pay good money for those today!

Ohhhhhhh...precious!!! Look at those little pouty lips...don't go thinking she was born with those...she was a ..psssst... closer......(thumb sucker)..but you didn't hear that from me!!!!!
Oh lookie here....Sister on a little pony...remember when they would come thru the neighborhood with the pony and go door to door asking if you wanted your kid's picture taken? Funny to me I don't have a picture of me sitting on no pony!!!!!!!

Oh little Sister...I do love you so...you who have been with me thru thick and thin & mostly the thick was caused by you....you who have ran to my rescue with your can of air freshner to spray the outhouses before I'd go in on our many fishing trips with daddy...
You who stayed by my side after surgery and sat down on the folding cot and caused it to fold up locking you in and causing me to bust my stitches open laughing while trying to scream for the nurse...
You who layed up in a hospital bed giving birth to your third sweet baby while I packed up my 4 babies and stayed at your home with your other two babies and they all got the chicken pocs at the same time...such joys...
you who have gave me more laughs than I can even remember...like the time after church you came to see our new baby chicks wearing your Sunday best & you sticking your hand under the mother hen..causing her to flog you...baby chicks flying thru the air...me screaming for you to help me get them and you bending over and a huge gush of wind blowing your dress over your head just as the group of little elderly veterans that boarded next door had came out to sit in the yard and enjoy the scenery...bet they didn't expect to see that much of 'nature'
Yes Sister...this is for you....just because I love you so......♥♥♥

OUR NEW LOOK

Two of our granddaughters are being baptized today,so we must leave early,my Ladies Ministry assistant is always helpful in taking care of my choir while I'm away, she does such a great job!,but first I'd like to shout out a big thank you to my sister for all her patience in helping me achieve my new look

We are so proud of our children raising up our grandchildren in the ways of the Lord, today our granddaughter Kaitlyn & our granddaughter Ashley are getting baptized, the Lord has blessed our family in so many ways, you heard a lot about my youngest daughter with her talent for creating cakes, updates on the twins etc. recently the Lord place a wonderful man in my oldest daughter's life, the first thing that impressed me most when I first met him was that he didn't try to impress us or make us like him, I knew when I first met him that he was my daughters answer to prayer & that he would become her soul mate & best of all he came with a wonderful beautiful daughter , a wonderful granddaugther & sister to Kaitlyn.

AMERICANA WREATH

Show-Tell is hosted by Kelli over at http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/ be sure to visit all the other wonderful participants. Today I am showing how I took some ideas & added some touches of my own & made the 2nd wreath I've ever made! lol this one I made for my daughter for her first family 4th of July get together

I found the dried flowers at Michael's, inserting & hot gluing here & there, the little flags I found at walmart, I soaked them in my special cinnamon grunge goop

I went into my Christmas decorations & pulled out a prim tin star & traced it for the stars, I mixed water with the paints till I got that milky look
paints : Americna Williamsburg Blue/Cardinal Red/Antique white
when dry stars are sanded to give washed out look

The big star is from one of my quilt patterns, I tea stained then grungied up with my special cinnamon goop, hot glued a double cinnamon stick & tied on a strip of Americana fabric with 2 rusty bells

Here we have the finished outcome, I must say I was proud of myself never having made a wreath before LOL Take a look around & see all the possibilities you can come up with & I bet you'll be making a wreath in no time!

SUNDAY SELECTIONS

Welcome to Sunday selections, here we hope that you will find what you need to be uplifted, inspired, perhaps spark a memory of old camp meeting days.We pray that wherever or how ever you choose to worship God today that you are blessed & if you are heavy hearted this morning, may the Lord touch & lift you up, just as in the song In The Garden, he will walk & talk with you concerning things on your heart
*****************************************************
*****************************************************
IN THE GARDEN
********************
I come to the garden alone
while the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear
Falling on my ear
The son of God discloses
**************************
And he walks with me & he talks to me
And he tells me I am am his own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
*************************
He speaks & the sound of his voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that he gave to me
Within my heart is ringing
*********************************
And he walks with me & he talks to me
And he tells me I am his own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
********************************
I'd stay in the garden with him
Tho the night around me be falling
But he bids me go through the voice of woe
Hiss voice to me is calling
***************************************
And he walks with me & he talks to me
And he tells me I am his own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

SUNDAY SELECTIONS

Today's selection is Leave It There, written by Charles A. Tindley in 1916 I love surprising my choir with an old classic now & then, I encourage them as I do you to research the older hymns, find out how they came about, embrace the meaning of the song & let it fill your soul

A special thank you to all who lifed me up in your prayers this week,I'm feeling great & back to to my 1000 & 1 things to do lol

A fellow who was a constant worrier visited Tindley one day. After listening a while, Tindley
replied:
My advice to you is put all your troubles in a sack, take ’em to the Lord, and leave ’em there.
This homespun response was the spark thqt later prompted the pastor Charles A. Tindley tp pen the words & music to this familiar gospel hymn in 1916
LEAVE IT THERE

If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold
,And you have to get along with meager fare,
Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Refrain

Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If your body suffers pain and your health you can’t regain,
And your soul is almost sinking in despair,
Jesus knows the pain you feel, He can save and He can heal;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Refrain

When your enemies assail and your heart begins to fail,
Don’t forget that God in Heaven answers prayer;
He will make a way for you and will lead you safely through.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Refrain

When your youthful days are gone and old age is stealing on,
And your body bends beneath the weight of care;
He will never leave you then, He’ll go with you to the end.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Refrain
