finally getting caught up with a little sewing, a short update on my fitted blouse for P.R. I didn’t realize the difference in the time zone so while I’m trying to wind everything up thinking I have over an hr to post, the time was up on their side, & because I haven’t been a member for 3 months yet it wouldn’t let me send an email oh well carry on lol!
so moving right along, today I took a yellow T-shirt from the closet & decided to turn it into a peplum top
I measured from the top of the shoulder down to where I thought the ruffle would look good
then cut, leaving the hem in the bottom so I wouldn’t have to hem it
then I stretched the cut off bottom part making it wider so I could put a little gather to it to create a ruffle
then attach back to the top, creating a peplum look, I think it needed a larger tee to make a fuller ruffle& maybe go up further to achieve the look I was going for ,I only ha a picture to go by on Pinterest so I’m sure there is two different sizes involved so maybe I’ll attempt it again later on
I’ve been thinking about what to make for the sew your own wardrobe challenge, the word “plan” comes to mind, so I think I’ll try to plan out my projects one Season at a time
SPRING SUMMER FALL WINTER
Dress/Suites
Casual/Sport
Lounge/Sleepwear
Special Occasions

Super idea with the T - can't wait to see what you plan for the next 12 months challenge ... J
Hi Helen, you didnt' have much luck with the fitted blouse contest :) . The t-shirt looks great though. Good luck with the plan - mine always get a bit wobbly and keep changing, lol's.

Hi Sarah, the problem I ran into with the fitted blouse contest was I din't think about the time zone difference. while I was working out my review it was already over, 10pm here 11pm there, just gotta ge a handle on these time zones lol
I like that!!! Simple, quick and very cute. Thanks for sharing.
You have a great plan! I like the idea of breaking it down by season. Can't wait to see how it comes out! Thanks for visiting my little blog!
I like your idea of categories and the seasons. I think I will borrow/steal this, if you don't mind. I have been thinking along the same lines, but not as coherently as you. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. ♥
