Hmm - I might just try that! Of course it would be used to purchase more fabric!

Just had to smile! When the kids were young, we were very short of money. I used to save small change so that I could take them on a day trip or two in the summer.
My eldest would sometimes ask if we could take a little out of the jar for chocolate or an ice-cream then, later, for a pencils or a little toy and I became worried that we'd not have enough for even one day out.
Finally, I hit on an idea. I labelled the jar, Toby's Bone Money. Dogs don't have pockets, so they can't have pocket money. Well, you can't steal from the dog, can you? So the little stash was never touched by the kids again and I'd have to quietly count it, bag the coins and put some aside for them to go bone shopping on Toby's behalf, before changing the rest into notes for a trip to the coast or the country. I'm a truly devious mother - wonder if the Kids ever realized?

I saw that on pinterest as well and started doing it in January. I think I have a couple of hundred dollars in it already. It adds up quick.
