A SHOW-N-TELL TREASURE

Yesterday we went to one of our local Antique shops before hubby had to go to work, getting outta the house for a bit was long over due for me LOL & there it was among a lot more I need to go back for LoL but time was pending, as I stood there looking up over my head, he comes around the corner & ask "what you doing" get me that I reply trying my best to reach for it LOL, usually things out of reach are outta $$$ range ohh I couldn't look at the tag, I turn it over & look away as I ask what's it say, he laughs &says do you want it, I say yes but what's it say




wellllll here is what it says LOL

Ohhhhhhhh, I so remember my grandmother cooking with lard. The smell, texture and taste was deplorable!!

My Show n Tell is posted too, I sure hope you can stop by for a visit....if you have time?

My mama made biscuits with the lard from bacon. Actually I liked the flavor. Mostly I remember during World War II My Mama would take in our lard to the butcher shop and she would get a little money for it.

Oh sister...lordy..makes me think of when mama had two big old lard cans she used for flour and meal...ohhh where is my hankie!!!! lol

Nice find! We used to use lard pails for buckets when picking blueberries. The handle slides on one's belt to leave both hands free for picking berries.
