I've been having computer troubles & sewing machine troubles, had to put both machines in the shop, had to take back 2 new ones , between fighting with the machines & the computer it's been ohhhhh! LETS BAKE A CAKE

Todays, pink Saturday marks our 100th post! whoo hoo, who knew we were so close! I knew the day was fast approaching when I saw 99 on yesterdays post lol I teased sister & told her i needed Bunnie Lou back LOL LOL & I know you guys are all pumped up & excited lol & I will get a prize up this weekend & have it on Monday's post, I had to go to my daughters alllllll day yesterday to help with the twins while she made cakes & I didn't get home till nearly midnight, but as fate would have it one of her orders was for a castle cake & it has pink it it! & the babies were wearing pink! whoo hoo!

Ok now we're ready to make a special cake for Nanna's Pink Saturday, did you know it was her 100th post? Making this cake was perfect timeing

ONE MANS JUNK

It's show-n-tell time again, I'd like to show you what I did with an old garden rake & tell you that this is my 99th post today, whoo hoo I'm one away from the big 100!

A while back sister & I were out at local little antique shop when she came across these old garden rakes, she said ohh you've got to get one of these I'll show you what to do with it I look at her & say uhhhuu well it was priced $1.50, so what could I lose right lol so i take it home & starts playing in my junk, she thinks for a moment then says I know you have stuff put away somewhere lol & I do lol for hubby & me go antiquing a lot ohh you should see my bedroom oh sorry that's another show-n-tell lol anyway she places one of my antique rolling pins across the rack part, some of my antique graters, the green pot holder I actually made years ago , couldn't begin to tell you how it was so long ago lol the watermelon one I found at a yard sale for 0.25 yep just 25 cents! so there you have it one mans' junk turned into one mans treasures!



Through the years I've found old wooden spoons etc, knowing someday I'll find the perfect thing to do with them & if not sister will know, she always knows! lol have oyu figured out yet I let her do most of my decorating , she only agrees in hopes of taking home a few treasures herself, why just the other day I gave her ...oh sorry that's another show-tell, maybe she'll tell it lol must be the excitement of the 100th post getting so close lol ok where were we...oh yea the spoons lol well I did finally find the perfect thing , an old crocks, I of course had it all in the closet thinking I'd wait till I got it nice & full & put on the counter , well here comes sister when we ok she decorates my hutch & says where's that old crock & spoons, I said I don't have enough yet & she says ohh poo go get it so she steps back, she looks, she ponders, then waa laa the light bulb goes off & there we have the perfect spot for it!

Welcome to Tempt My Tummy , today's recipe is one I think you'll enjoy, I first encountered this recipe at a church dinner, we were all skeptical , grape salad? She assured us all that it was good LOL & once we tried it, it became a keeper

GRAPE SALAD
green grapes (about 2/lbs)
8 oz cream cheese
8 oz sour cream
1/2 c. powder sugar
1 tsp. van.
MIX WELL

TOPPING
1/2c. brown sugar
1/4c. chopped pecans

Welcome to Blue Monday, we hope that weekend was a blessed one for you, with all the problems out of the new heat/air unit, it finally got straightened out, today we're remodeling the bathroom noo it wont be blue LOL today I'm sharing my husbands antique globe collection, he has been collecting globes for many years

I'M STILL HERE

Just to let you all know I'm still here , I've been having trouble staying on line , I'm thinking it was due to it being sooo cold in here, long story short, we had to replace our heat/air unit, we noticed it wasn't getting hot, I mean come on now if it's on 70 & you're still chattering your teeth, somethings wrong right? lOl, the 2nd cold spurt, yea we have spurts of winter here in Ala. lOl still not getting hot but can smell the propane

we finally get the company to come out, come to find out they set the new unit up to run on natural gas & we use propane, sooo it was wait some more

and wait we did, till we called & found out they never turned the order in or ordered the part, ok to keep it short I must end it now With a lot of blaa blaa blaa in between they came back & waa laa we now have heat LOL

Thanks for being so faithful to visit & leave all the sweet comments, everything will be back to normal next week & there'll be lots to share

NOT THE COOKIE JARS!

Have you ever noticed how that you don't really notice pink until you go looking for it, LOL I did a Post a while back on my antique cookie jars, the words antique, collection etc seemed to be all that stood out but as I was going through my files I began to see pink out of the corner of my eye ohhh no not my cookie jars, could it be true, yep some were sure nuff invaded with the pink, does that pink fairy ever rest? LOL LOL

JUST BECAUSE

Did you ever have somebody give you something just because, for no real reason, no holiday, not your birthday, just plain ole "just because" This is what today is all about, Sheila from over at The Quintessential Magpie sent sister & me a big ole box"just because"oh course if it comes to my house , it's all mine, right? LOL being the sweet sister that I am, I took the box over to sisters & we opened it together, just look at that box. lordy what could be in such a big box lol

snow! bless her heart she sent us snow! LOL naa it's Styrofoam peanuts, boy I'm glad I headed that off & opened it at sisters house LOL

we filled a garbage bag & then some before we got to the bottom LOL, finally the bottom, only to find things wrapped in enough bubble wrap to wrap a body LOL LOL

once we freed everything, sister started taking pictures, she started ripping like a little kid at Christmas, I had to stop her & make her read the tags, I felt like that little kid on Christmas story, "that's mine!" "that's mine"! LOL here is my 1/2 of the box

M&M COOKIES

Welcome to Tempt My Tummy where you'll find lots of good recipes to tempted with, be sure to visit http://blessedwithgrace.blogspot.com/ for more great recipes, today I'd like to share my daughters recipe for M&M cookies, it makes a lot & I do mean a lot LOL we made them when we took the grand daughters to the mountains, no way we could eat 60-70 cookie so we were smart we made them monster size only that wasn't as smart as we thought,it made about 30 LOL LOL you can also use chocolate chips instead of m& m's or divide the recipe in half & make both now that's' the smart thing to do LOL

M &M OR CHOCOCOLATE. CHIP COOKIES

1 & 1/2 cup sugar

1 & 1/2cup brown sugar

3 eggs

1 & 1/2 tsp. van. extract

6 tbsp. hot water

5 &1/4 cup flour (self rising)

large bag of M&M's

begin blending ingredients, if you have a big mixer that's great, if not well endure till the end, it;s worth it lol, batter will be stiff but will eventually blend, we filled 2 cookie sheets with 6 cookies each 3 times giving us 36 giant cookies so regular size will give you about 60 if not more depending how big or small you make them

B IS FOR BLUE CAKE

Welcome to our first blue Monday, I'm not much of a "blue"person but yet blue always finds it way into my life,today I'd like to share a few cakes my daughter designed for customers, she continually amazes me with the talent God has given her,, she doesn't use molds, just the typical old cake pan to cook the cake in, all her cakes are drawn out by hand if you can think it she can make it , lol Blue Monday is hosted by Sally @ http://smilingsally.blogspot.com

I can remember when I first saw this in progress, we all wondered what was it going to be & she said a cookie monster, well not that we doubted her but we said ohh OK if you say so LOL, cookie monster was a great hit at the party

A lady had brought Heather an invitation with a cake with monkeys on it & asked her could she make a cake like this, well of course Heather always takes the challenge lol, I was visiting the day she was making this one & I never laughed so hard watching her create these monkeys

can you believe this is cake? LOL

and who doesn't love a good cupcake, right?

wow! this one took my breath away, this was a cake for a baby shower, the baby is made of gum paste
