12 weeks of christmas graphic    As I’m planning out what to make for our church’s bake sale, Boston butt & fundraiser yard sale, whew! yea lots going on this weekend lol I thought about making  cinnamon bun popcorn & bagging it in the sweet little fall bags, I make this for Christmas & it’s a big hit!humm hope I don’t eat it all LOL

12c.popped popcorn (1/2c.kernels)

1c.chopped pecans

1c.brown sugar

1/4c.Karo syrup(or honey works well)

1 stick real butter(1/2c)

1/2tsp.baking soda

3 squares almond bark

you can use air popped or microwave popcorn, preheat oven to 250,place popcorn & chopped pecans in a large bowl & set aside

combine brown sugar & cinnamon in a big microwaveable bowl

chop butter into chunks & place on top of sugar mixture, pour syrup or honey over top of everything, microwave for 30 sec.stir to combine

should be nice & bubbly at this point, remover from microwave & add van. & soda, should be foaming at this point

pour over popcorn & nuts stirring quickly or it will harden, spread onto foil lined pan & bake 30 min. stirring every 5 min

if it' not crunchy enough cook another 5 min, give a final stir & let cool, while you melt the almond bark

using a fork drizzle over popcorn, when cooled break into chunks

Thanks for the honey tip! Never sure if it'll work as a corn syrup sub. :) Sounds delicious!
