There’s beginning to be a little nip of fall in the air but for now it's just a tease lol! cool chilly mornings make you want to find heat but that thought ends quickly as the sun begins to rise & you’re reaching for cool on the thermostat lol! I’ve been thinking about how good those Apple Cider Floats were that I discovered a recipe for back last year & how it’s time to dig that recipe out again!
Apple Cider Floats
1c.ginger ale
1/2c.apple cider
van. bean ice cream( you can use reg or apple pie etc)
sprinkle of nutmeg
sprinkle of cinnamon
1-2 Tbs.jarred Carmel sauce( I used smuckers hot Carmel)
fill cup 1/2 full with cider, 2-1 ratio of ginger ale , big scoop of van. ice cream,sprinkle nutmeg & cinnamon on top, add hot Carmel sauce ( I did not heat this up)

SNICKERDOODLES
1 1/2 c.plus 2 tabsp. sugar
1 c. butter (2 sticks) softened
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. all purpose flour
2 teasp.cream of tarter
1teasp. baking soda
1/2 teasp. nutmeg
1/2 teasp.cinnamon
pecan halves
combine 1 1/2 c. sugar, butter & eggs beat on med speed, add flour, cream of tarter, baking soda, nutmeg, salt, cover with plastic wrap , chill for 1-2 hours, heat oven 375, in a small bowl combine sugar & cinnamon, roll dough into balls & roll in cinnamon sugar mixtures, press a pecan half into the center of each cookie, bake 10-12 min, let cool 1 min before removing from pan

Thanks for following me. That also allows me to find you,and follow you. I don't make snickerdoodle cookies because my neighbor did. Now that she's not next door, I'll have to do it. I have never seen ones with a nut on top, what a wonderful idea. Thanks for the recipe I'm going to give it a try.
