Pattern Therapy: A New "Sew Your Own Wardrobe Challenge" for 2015!
Sew Your Own Wardrobe is kicking off a brand new year , will you be joining us?This year I want to focus on relearning as well as learning new things, thinking outside the box, maybe make a slip, tackle those buttonholes, a friend gave me this OP pattern with the hopes that by the time I get to the bottom I’ll have those buttonholes mastered! lol!
things like making a bra would be way outta my comfort box zone but it’s on the list lol! I want to play around with dying my own fabric, believe it or not I have been making a sewing bucket list lol!
last year w were to commit or try to commit to no retail, this year there’s slight change you can commit to one or more particular things to focus on hummm what should that be, retail dress's don’t seem to work for me lately “the body is shifting” lol! so lots & lots of pretty dresses for sure! I’ll throw in other things in the mix but for the commitment part I say dresses! remember the big red dotted fabric I bought a few months back?
perhaps I’ll get over the fear of looking like the big red balls that sit outside of Target & make a dress lol! I defiantly want to sew & create more this year

August
I took a skirt I’d made the year before & cut it down due to a little weight loss guess we can all it a refashion lol!

September
I made a few pillowcases for a Children's cancer hospital
October
I made a pair of polka dotted pants for the Smarty pants challenge, plus I wore them to see my niece perform in School House Rock, she has been in Children's Theater for a few years now & she loves it!
also in Oct. I had way too many sweet potatoes so what to do but have a few friends over & have a sweet potato baking party, I made them each an apron & they both took home 3 pies, had lunch & watched Moms Night Out, we sure did miss Faye who wasn't able to come
no sewing during Nov./Dec my dad was in the hospital the whole week of Thanksgiving with congestive heart failure, my sisters husband had 4 heart bypasses ,a death in the family, a wedding
I did manage to come into the New Year with a few UFO’s I’m not sure this was the best fabric choice for this but I’m gonna se it through!
this sleeveless dress requires lining, I still don’t wantta talk about it lol!
I actually have the bottom of this dress pinned to the bodice, get it sewn & set in the sleeves & it’ll be done
three UFO’s isn’t too bad, I’m hoping to get them finished within the month's I wantta get in on new challenges starting with Jan. Jungle Jan 015 over at http://prttynpnk.com/
what’s on your cutting table for the New Year? is there anything you’re wanting to challenge yourself to do, like line a sleeveless dress lol!know of any challenges or sew alongs out there to get into? I want to know & learn more this year than I did last year, I want to try new things, exciting things! bold things!
HAPPY SEWING IN 2015
