SUNDAY SELECTIONS

THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE

piano

are you letting your light shine? this sweet little song was composed in 1920 by harry Dixon Loes

This Little Light of Mine
This little light o' mine, I'm goin' let it shine,
This little light o' mine, I'm goin' let it shine,
This little light o' mine, I'm goin' let it shine,
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
Won't let Satan blow it out, I'm goin' let it shine,
Won't let Satan blow it out, I'm goin' let it shine,
Won't let Satan blow it out, I'm goin' let it shine,
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
Hide it under a bushel, oh no! I'm goin' let it shine,
Hide it under a bushel, oh no! I'm goin'let it shine,
Hide it under a bushel, oh no! I'm goin' let it shine,
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

I can remember way wayyyyy back as a little girl the verse, “and if the devil doesn’t like it he can sit on a tack  sit on a tack to stay “ was added to it in Sunday school

through the years there has been over 30 different versions of this song I guess with grandbabies up in the house this week due to air being out at their house this little song has popped up in my mind today, it is very important that mememories are made but more importantly that they see Jesus in me, the only way to assure they do is for my light not to go out

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
