M & M COOKIES
this recipe can also be divided in half & add choc chips for choc. chip cookies or pecans, the ideas are endless as it makes a lot of cookies!
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp.van.
1 1/2 tbsp. hot water.
5 1/4 c. flour (self rising)
1 lg. bag of m & m's
(sm bag if you are halving it with choc.chips)
begin blending all ingredients. a big mixer is a plus as this is a thick dough but if not hang in there, it's worth it as it eventually blends, suuper jumbo like I made here will yeild about 36, regular sized cookies will yield about 60, this is a great recipe for cookie shareing
SNICKERDOODLES
1 1/2c plus 2 tbsp. sugar divided
1c.butter(1 stick) softened
2 eggs
2 3/4c.flour(all purpose)
2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp.cinnamon
pecan halves
***** I never put the salt in my cookies, just don't like the taste, if a recipe calls for baking powder I opt the flour for self rising after all that's what the B.P. is for lol*****
combine the 1 & 1/2c suagr, butter & eggs, beat on med speed
**I beat mine by hand there is enough messed up at this point LOL
add flour, cream of tarter,B.P.,soda,nutmeg,salt, beat till soft dough forms
cover with plastic wrap & chill for 2 hrs or till firm
***LOL I've not noticed that part till now, I've never chilled mine & they turn out fine****
heat oven to 375
in small bowl combine cinnamon & remaining 2 tbsp.sugar
shape dough into balls bout 1"
roll balls in cinnamon mix, place 2'' apart on ungreased cookie sheet
press pecan halves into center
bake 10-12 min or till light golden brown
cool about a min. before removing from cookie sheet
****removing one immediately with a glass of cold milk is acceptable LOL ****
