I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! LOL

my computers been acting up & just now got back on line & there it was a note from Maurine saying I've won , yipee!

I've been busy helping a friend with her Tupperware party's, guess you could say I'm her decorator LOL there wasn't much room to work with here but she had a great turn out, wow! look at that red living room! love it!

last night I set up for her at another party & this one took us by surprise, it was like walking into a museum, & there was this long & I mean long bar in the den ohhhh decorator glory with all that room to work with! LOL

there's way too many pictures to show it all LOL but out of all the party's we do this one will always top them all I do believe! we have one booked for Aug 10th & the lady has a farm & a pig she says she's gonna give a bath before we come, humm will it be in the house??? LOL

What am I working on, it's more like what am I not working on LOL, with our first show less than 8 weeks away it's gonna get exciting over here,hubby will have to re-go training on cutting & stuffing LOL here are six 13" Annie's that need a few touches & they'll be ready to go

HIBISCUS GLORY

My Hibiscus just getting bigger every year,it's amazing how it started off from a sprig no bigger than your finger, this plant has been in the family for years, we all got a sprig from mom's original plant, the picture doesn't do it justic as it is a deeper pink , almost red

BLACKBERRIES & APRONS

There always seems to be so much to do, so little time ,that we often ask, where's the "me"time LOL & often even when we think we're having that "me" time it turns out to be for something or someone else LOL like when we pick blackberries & can't wait till we make glorious lip smacking blackberry jelly , how quickly it turns into just because gifts, Christmas gifts etc.as soon as word got out that we've been picking blackberries all week, the orders have been pouring in LOL**wash & let B.B drain, spread onto cookie sheets & freeze before putting into ziplocks , this will kep them from sticking together,makes ti easy to scoop out if you have an urge to make cobblerLOL

as we were out & about yesterday, I felt a strong pull towards the fabrics lol,as I stroll down the isles ,saying to myself, got that, got that, got that LOL there it was the sweetest ole thyme looking bolt of fabric, reminded me of grandma's aprons & well you know what happened had to have it! LOL, this will be for "me" me" me'" I squealed, well at least until somebody like sister says please please please let me have it, so not a word!shhhhhh

TMTT /BREAD -N- BUTTER PICKLES & VEGGIES

Welcome to Tempt My Tummy, with summer upon us, it's a time of family gatherings, cookouts, softball, lemonade,gardening& all the things that go hand in hand with summer TMTT is hosted by http://blessedwithgrace.blogspot.com be sure to go by & say hello & meet all of the other wonderful participants, we recently went to a local farmers market & I purchased just enough to make a glorious veggie plate, but first I'd like to share a simple but yet delicious recipe for bread-n-butter pickles



BREAD-N- BUTTER PICKLES


4qt.sliced cucumbers

6 med.white onions(I cut in thin rings)

1/3 c.salt
1 & 1/2 tsp.turmeric
1 & 1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. mustard seed
3 c.vinegar
5 c. sugar

Slice cucumbers & onions, add salt,cover with ice & let stand 3 hrs


Drain ice , mix remaining ingredients & heat to a boil


add cucumbers & onions to canning jars & pour hot mixture over & seal


* I turn the jars upside down, this helps to seal the lid better

Can you tell who's plate is who's, I'll give you a hint..I don't eat fried green tomatoes LOL LOL

This quilt was made for us by my husbands grandmother back in 1975, she worked hard making quilts for all of her grand kidsthat was married for Christmas that year, this was our first Christmas present from her as a couple,mine is tattered in places that needs a little mending & now hangs over our our bed

Yesterday we went to one of our local Antique shops before hubby had to go to work, getting outta the house for a bit was long over due for me LOL & there it was among a lot more I need to go back for LoL but time was pending, as I stood there looking up over my head, he comes around the corner & ask "what you doing" get me that I reply trying my best to reach for it LOL, usually things out of reach are outta $$$ range ohh I couldn't look at the tag, I turn it over & look away as I ask what's it say, he laughs &says do you want it, I say yes but what's it say
