SUNDAY SELECTIONS

welcome, to Sunday selections, where I share Sunday's music, history of song writers, tell off on my choir members from time to time, updates on our Ladies Ministries , sometimes it may just be something shared from my heart
Do you remember that old classic "OH I WANT TO SEE HIM"

Oh, I Want to See HimWords and Music by R.H. Cornelius
1 John 3:2"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."

As I journey thro' the land, singing as I go,
Pointing souls to Calvary - to the crimson flow,
Many arrows pierce my soul from without, within;
But my Lord leads me on, thro' Him I must win.

Chorus
O I want to see Him, look upon His face,
There to sing forever of His saving grace;
On the streets of glory let me lift my voice
,Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice.
When in service for my Lord dark may be the night,
But I'll cling more close to Him,
He will give me light;
Satan's snares may vex my soul, turn my tho'ts aside;
But my Lord goes ahead, leads whate'er betide.

Chorus
O I want to see Him, look upon His face,
There to sing forever of His saving grace;
On the streets of glory let me lift my voice,
Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice.
When in valleys low I look tow'rd the mountain height,
And behold my Savior there,
leading in the fight,
With a tender hand outstretched tow'rd the valley low,
Guiding me, I can see, as I onward go.
Chorus
O I want to see Him, look upon His face,
There to sing forever of His saving grace;
On the streets of glory let me lift my voice,
Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice.

When before me billows rise form the mighty deep,
Then my Lord directs my bark; He doth safely keep,
And He leads me gently on thru' this world below;
He's a real Friend to me, O I love Him so.

Chorus
O I want to see Him, look upon His face,
There to sing forever of His saving grace;
On the streets of glory let me lift my voice,
Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice.
coming up in Oct, there is a music conference in Chattanooga Tenn, my pastors wife, musicians & myself went last year & every year it just gets better, I'm praying that the gallbladder surgery will not hold me back this year

IS PINK OVERTAKING THE OFFICE?

Welcome to PINK SATURDAY where anything goes as long as it's pink LOL I've noticed how pink is seeping into the office, which main colors are blacks/tans hummmm, I mean does pink belong in a safari setting atmosphere LOL, as I began to look around, seems like there were lost of tiny things that didn't stick out before, way back I posted my husbands globe collection which surprisingly has a lot of pink lol, now lets see what has suddenly poped out all of a sudden lol

pink has invaded some of my my button collections
an old cup that holds pens etc, given to me by one of the kids when they were little, seriously has it always been pink LOL

I began to pull them back one by one & sure nuff ! that pink fairy had been in there! lol the 3 ladies in the green doesn't show up good in the picture but there big pink flowers all over those dress's lol

be sure to have pen & paper ready that's right "paper" save that computer ink! LOL you don't want to miss any great recipes!

M & M COOKIES

this recipe can also be divided in half & add choc chips for choc. chip cookies or pecans, the ideas are endless as it makes a lot of cookies!

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs

1 1/2 tsp.van.
1 1/2 tbsp. hot water.
5 1/4 c. flour (self rising)
1 lg. bag of m & m's
(sm bag if you are halving it with choc.chips)

begin blending all ingredients. a big mixer is a plus as this is a thick dough but if not hang in there, it's worth it as it eventually blends, suuper jumbo like I made here will yeild about 36, regular sized cookies will yield about 60, this is a great recipe for cookie shareing

SUNDAY SELECTIONS&HAPPY B'DAY

This so sweet to trust in Jesus
Just to take him at his word
Just to rest upon his promise
Just to know thus saith the Lord
Jesus Jesus how I trust him
How I've proved him o'er & o'er
Jesus Jesus precious Jesus
Oh for grace to trust him more

so glad you could stop by today, we pray that all is well in your neck of the woods, it's raining here, but the birds are still singing, rain's not dampening their spirit lol & that 's the way we should be, no matter what comes our way, keep looking up & know that it will soon pass,one of my choir members is getting a lot slack from work lately & getting scheduled on Sundays, like the rain it trys to dampen her spirit but like that tree planted by the water, the power of God strengthens her to hold on, for he always comes through, as I will get to see her sweet face in the choir this morning as she is off after a long time of having to work Sundays & a double plus , it's her birthday! whoo hoo, her daughter had called me the other day talking about having a surprised party for her & asked if I'd bring my pretty dishes LOL & decorate, well you know thatt puts me in my element LOl so I started planing &drawing out little layouts lol ohh was she ever surprised when she walked through that door !
