CAPE CHALLENGE DONE!

I thought I’d first give this pattern a trial run while Hancock's had fleece on sale for less than five dollars I like the way it flares out

 

I’m thinking of taking the band off & redoing it with a black band but for now “m done lol!

THE NAME SAYS IT ALL

while rounding up tops that match totes from the shop that got hit by the tornado I had them all lined up outside washing them, which many are blue by the way lol! anyways I’m spraying them down with Fantastic & well you know how one thing leads to another, I turned & looked at the Van whom a good washing wouldn’t hurt so I sprayed her down & hosed her off, now she’s all bright & shinny & clean no rags involved just a spray & a  rinse  who knew!lol!

WHEN FRIENDS GIVE YOU PEPPERS

 

 peppers are done!  I couldn't find a true recipe that comes close to the ones he likes from the Mexican restaurants, found two that sounded close so we took ingredients from both recipes & made up our own lol! beef, rice, tomatoes, cheese, spices etc stuffing was a little messy but a sweep with a paper towel does the trick lol then flash froze, then wrapped indivually saran then into baggies,he has to go out of town this week for plant meetings so we’ll give them a taste test in a few weeks 

different versions call to roast, grill, fry, bake, I’ll be baking these so we’ll see how they do, plus they’re not the true poblano’s but  with all the Mexican spices they’re defiantly not the ordinary stuffed pepper & may wind up being  a keeper for the recipe box

WHAT’S ON THE CUTTING TABLE

Hancock's has patterns of sale for 99c again, I thought this would be a cute one to practice for my cape challenge, humm there’s sleeves so do we call it a cape coat? yea, yea I know there’s no such word lol oh well it’ll be cute to run here & there on those chilly mornings

I draped it over my dress form to see how it’d fall & just kinds curled the edges over to see how it”d look, as you can see on the pattern there’s a band edging

the pattern calls for pockets ughh I haven’t done pockets in years, do I let this intimidate me & not do them? lol! will it look like a big ole blanket? should I make the band black or pink?

Hancock's has a beautiful winter white mink like fur that would be beautiful for my retro pattern, we shall see!

 

according the the dictionary a cape is a sleeves garment fastened at the throat and worn hanging over the shoulders humm do I need to go look at patterns again? they are only 99c after all lol!

BLUE MONDAY

This is my latest addition to my teapot collection , a gift from my daughter while they were in china  a few months back adopting our newest member of the family, he is adapting great & it feels as if he’s always been a part of our lives if you missed that post you can see it here

I haven’t seen Atlas jars in years, how cute is that, there were in my daughters basement when she bought her house, I had also bought some pint & 1/2 jars at Wal-Mart, such a  cute size to work with, between my two daughters & me there;s enough to have 8 jars each, humm who will get the extra jar? lol! it was  a fun day & a long day, the jars were way to hot to try to bring home after all it was going on midnight lol so I left them to cool & said not to worry I’ll be back for my salsa lol!
