Did you have a best friend as a child? a friend in whom you told all your secrets to? is there a friend that will stand by you? laugh with you, cry with you, pray with you, interceded for you? "can we find a friend so faithful" "with all our sorrows share" oh what a privilege to come into the throne room & tell of our every cares, he is a friend that will never leave nor forsake you for he will stick closer than a brother & he is always just a breath a way
What A Friend We Have In Jesus was written by Joseph Scriven in 1857 was never intended for publication as it was written as a letter of comfort to his seriously ill mother, he later became ill himself & a friend seeing the letter near his bed & asked had he written it & he replied the Lord & I did it between us,What A Friend We Have In Jesus was later composed by Charles C. Converse
