A CARDIGAN, ENVELOPE AND A RAZOR

being sick all week I didn’t get my entry in on time for the judging, but that’s ok, I finished it! talk about a challenge, I decided to take an old cardigan that was bound for the thrift store & recreate it into a scarf

challenge1

I had found the inspiration to make the pattern from here

 http://justsomethingimade.com/2011/02/t-shirt-scarves-the-art-of-repurposing/

yep a good ole envelope

challenge2 the razor is my ideal of a new tool,”defuzzer”  is that even a word? according to spell check it’s not lol!, anyways it worked great!

challenge3

so I began to cut my strips out & sewing them together & waa la!

maybe one side down

challenge4

maybe sew the ends together ?

challenge5

maybe pulled through & thicker around the neck?

challenge6

maybe loose & free ?

challenge7

maybe a half knot? am I saying that right? I've been sick, I’m just saying lol! now that I look at it I may of liked all  the solids at the bottom, fever talking maybe? lol!

Great way to reuse an old cardigan!!! This will keep you snuggly and warm and the lovely browns will co-ordinate with so many outfits. Hope you are feeling better.
