COOKIES FOR BREAKFAST???

not enough milk for cereal he says, gotta have it for at least enough for  2 cups of coffee, how about pancakes he says, I say no syrup, humm how about some eggs he says, I say humm  naaa you don’t want just plain ole eggs, lots of jelly for toast but no bread, later he hears the oven timer go off, comes in the kitchen & says what ya doing? I say making breakfast , I’ll bring it to you in  a minute lol, ding! times up!

he says but I wanted eggs, I say yea! there’re in there! LOL! & we both say, it’s time to go to the store! LOL!

 

 

 

CAN ANYBODY RELATE?

lol! Sometimes I think Pinterest can be a bad thing but in a  good way lol!in-between tweaking the house , which is coming along nicely, church projects, & sewing projects, new ideas pop in my head & the dream list keeps growing lol!  it all started when I saw peopel were spelling out  words like “create” “dream” “inspire” etc in various sewing/crafting rooms & I was on the search to spell out “Believe” & found it strange everywhere I went the B’s were out I kid you not! as I’m tweaking the rooms around & dreaming of summer with grand kids outta school etc, I see these , & I love !love! love! these ideas!

love this as it could work for the little ones as well as the older ones who’s chomping at the bit to learn to drive , lol!in  a den setting

or move ABC’s to the bedroom

maybe if I get all my chores done I’ll have time to create a room that'll knock their socks off by the time school’s out for summer lol!

SHAKE ANYONE?

Today I’m painting & playing in the sewing room, so lunch is light, black forest ham sandwiches, chips & a shamrock shake, yep I finally got around to making us one lol! & if you love the store bought mint, choc. mint etc ice creams, you’ll love this , I’m thinking a swirl of choc  the next time lol!

it’s off to work for hubby & back to the sewing room for me!

IS IT SPRING AT YOUR HOUSE YET

The calendar says Spring  humm with this crazy weather of freezing & up in the 80’s  then back in the 30’s , could it be true? could it really be Spring? Is it safe to put up the heaters, unplug the electric blankets, cut the grass, dig in the yard lol!

well my azaleas seem to think it’s Spring lol

one little daffodil dared to pop his little head out, guess the others doesn’t trust this Spring weather lol!

ZOO PART ONE

  7 grand kids & 4 adults, can you guess how many pictures that’ll be today LOL! I’ve got picnic basket  #1 ready , hope daughter has picnic basket #2 ready it has all the sandwich fixings but with 4 of her own & 4 of my youngest daughters to get ready , she has  a lot of cake orders today, sure will miss her!

WHO KNEW!

LAST WEEK FINISHNG UP THE KITCHEN, I DECIDED TO LINE A FEW OF THE CABINETS WITH NICE RUBBERMAID LIKE LINER,SOMEONE MADE A COMENT THAT THEY USED WRAPPING PAPER,HUMMM WHO KNEW! LOL NOW MIND YOU YOU I HAVE  ROLLS OF CHRISTMAS PAPER THAT I SAY I WILL NOT USE AGAIN, IT’S TIME FOR SOMETHING NEW LOL ANYWAYS I HAD THIS SWEET PAPER WITH TINY HOLLY ALL OVER IT, PERFECT FOR THE DRAWS IN THE DRESSER as I proceeded to tweak the bedroom

i CAME ACROSS A NEW RECIPE i WANTTA TRY THIS WEEKEND, DOESN’T THIS LOOK YUMMY?

Emerald Mint Milkshake
Makes 3 servings. Prep Time: 5 minutes

• 1 pint (2 cups) vanilla ice cream
• 1 cup milk
• 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Peppermint Extract
• 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Green Food Color
• Whipped cream and green sprinkles (optional)

1. Place ice cream, milk, peppermint extract and green food color in blender; cover. Blend on high speed until smooth.
2. Pour into glasses. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles, if desired. Serve immediately.

I DO BELIEVE IT’S GONNA HAPPEN!

  can you believe I have nothing on my calendar for this week , neither can I ! ~lol~ there is  lady  from hubbys work wanting me to make  a raggedy but I wont hear from her till Thur. soooo I’ve been continuing with the cleaning, culling & throwing out

so wantta know what’s about to happen ? ~lol~ well remember my dream closet for hubby

ohh I’m so excited! we’ve talked about doing this come this weekend, he’s off, there’s no birthday parties, no dinners, no decorating, no traveling, no nuttin on the calendar shhhhhh! lets don’t say that out loud  but can you say yea! with me?~lol~

in-between there’s still a few rooms that’s getting their  new look with a few changes here & there,have you been over at my raggedys blog & seen the cute things I’m making for the sewing room

sooooo much to do & finally! sooo much time to do it in ~lol~

ARE YOU DREAMING OF SUMMER YET

I said I want this house revamped & every room culled out & organized  from the 20 some odd years  we’ve been here,cause I don’t want nothing to keep me from playing outside this summer lol! I’m almost done with the kitchen, spent the better part of the day putting dishes here & there, moping, washing the boys (Joe, Gus, Shiloh) bowls, they’re so spoilt, they have their own heater lol!

Max’s bed       & he did not care for a clean bed LOL! he sleeps in a laundry basket, has his own pillow & blankie, we lost our sweet Peaches(L)  a few months ago , the kitchen almost got the best of me lol but I think I’ve about got it, remember when I took the wall paper off

what a mess that was, as you can see the paper on the paneled wall had come off with it , after all that fun I set out to paint it a soft what was supposed to been a soft tan like,only to turn out to be more on the white side 

well this will just will not do lol I’ve tolerated it for about a year now & it’s gotta go lol meantime that’s when I decided to clean out, throw out,cull out lol! just a few more touches & I’m done with the kitchen whoo hoo then on to the next room! in between all the fun of cleaning, tossing & culling I visit my “I wantta play outside” board on Pinterest lol! Spring will be here soon then Summer & with 7 grandkids there’s lots of playing to be done lol I came across this today & thought hunmm I have old ties lol

I’m going to try my best to grow Hollyhocks

this past Thanksgiving we went to visit my husbands brother in Virginia, Chris my sister-n-law & me hit the after Thanksgiving sales & the next day she took me antiquing, boy did I find a lot of treasures but it’s Blue Monday so you only get to see the blue’s LOL!

can you believe I got this sweet bowl for just $6.00, not a stain, crack or nothing on it! perfect condition!

this little pot called me, it needs a little cleaning up, if it’ll come clean LOL! but it will go in the collections I’d adding to the kitchen around my light fixture in the kitchen 

speaking of the kitchen, I’m still pulling out, culling out, throwing out & organizing the cabinets, I’m beginning to wonder if there’ll ever be an end to it LOL!

I almost forgot about my blue bottle LOL! I’m getting up a collection of bottles, you’ll see why later!

ROAD TRIP TREASURES

This past weekend we went to Tenn.. & hit  some great Antiquing mallsthis place was so huge, you couldn’t se the end of the row & there were 5 rows that went every which way lol but I did get a few treasures for the sewing room, love this red gingham apron with the chicken scratch  stitches & more spools to add to my collection my friend Maurine gave me we also stopped in at a quilt shop up around the mountains & ohh what a blessing I got there , I was upstairs surround by all these glorious hand made quilts & pillow shams etc, when I saw a “sale” sign, I thought humm a sham might be cute to use as a pillow in my recliner in the sewing room, then I see it!nooo this can’t be true, it’s way to pretty to be $9.99, I lay it down but keep going back to it then up the stairs came a lady who says I’ve seen you pick & put down & I told the lady at the front to let you have it at that price …….it is one of the $79 shams to goes to a set downstairs, I say well I’m good with that & put it down, she puts it back in my hand & says noo you’ll have it at $9.99, I say nooo if someone put the wrong price on it I’m good with that I truly am lol she says nooo I am the owner & I say you’ll have it at $9.99, I  smile & say well I’ll fix that , I wont buy it, she turns & says oh yes you will ! because you love it & I said so lol friends is God good or what!sooooo do you wantta see it or wait till it’s displayed in the chair ever so sweetly, hummmm ok! look at the sweet details & the sweet edging
