SOMETIMES IT'S JUST FOR ME LOL

That's right sometimes it's just for me LOL & it's been a long time coming soooo long I can't tell you when I've went shopping & got something just for me LOL as we often have to explain, craft supplies do not fall in that "just for me" category LOL, I went with the intention of looking at fabrics LOL they were supposed to have a 50% off sale which they did on fabric they upped three times what you'd pay at walmart for the same thing, our fabric stores are really taking advantage of all the Walmarts doing away with their fabric department, any how lookie what I got for 40% off!

now to find the perfect spot for it!

TMTT /CHICKEN BROC. SPEG.

Welcome to tempt my tummy Tuesday, today I'm sharing a good old stand by,sister & me came across this recipe way way back in the day & decided it was a keeper, its a different twist to spaghetti but I believe you'll like as well as grow to love it, you will only need a few ingredients:

*spaghetti noodles

*cream of mushroom soup

*chopped frozen broccoli (about 1 cup or small box)

*1/2 onion or sm. onion

*stick butter ( I use country crock)

*chicken tenders

*salt/pepper to taste

*touch of milk(enough for desired thickness)

chop the onion & statue in 1 stick of butter

add chicken tenders ( put the lid on to keep tender then lid off to brown then back on) there is no wrong way to do this LOL

add broccoli(you may want to rinse the ice off)

add cream of mushroom soup

add milk till you get desired thickness, the milk gives it a more gravy look & creamier taste

meanwhile have spaghetti noodles cooking, add salt/pepper & a touch of butter to boiling water for more flavorful noodles

drain noodles & get ready to plate up! LOL

divide noodles onto plates, add broccoli mixture to top of spaghetti then add chicken tenders on top

once again there is no wrong way to make this, I sometimes fry the chicken in a separate skillet, when I make it for company I cook the broccoli separate, drain & add to top for a pretty presentation , whether made separate, together, pretty or ugly it all taste the same " UM UM GOOD!"

BLUE MONDAY/ MY NEW CUP

Welcome to Blue Monday, it doesn't take much for me to get excited over something at times LoL when I saw this coffee cup at Starbucks I instantly knew I needed it or was that I needed it for another round of blue Mon. LoL LoL whatever the case may be I knew I had to have it & when it rang up 50% off I knew I was to have it LoL, it has the softest blues & the inside is even blue! yep that's what I'm sharing today, my new sweet little ole coffee cup! Welcome to our Sunday Selections, here you find hymnal history, new songs the choirs working on, maybe a sneak pic of them once in a while LOL & so on,today I'd like to share a poem I came across a few days ago, "I Will Not Be Discouraged" that word discouraged means to deprive of confidence,hope,spirit, to hinder, ohhh how many times have we had our hearts set on something only to get our spirit crushed, our dreams crushed, there's am old hymnal that goes I will not be defeated I will not be defeated no I'll not be defeated anymore....I often ask do you know what you're singing? do you believe what you re singing or is it just a song, God has a plan & a purpose for each & every one of us & one of those things is not to be defeated (Jer.29:11) For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord,plans to prosper you and not to harm you,plans to give you hope and a future

I WILL NOT BE DISCOURAGED

I will not be discouraged

To be sad or to cry

I refuse to be downhearted

And here's the reason why

I have a God who's mighty

Who's sovereign and supreme

I have a God who loves me

And I am on his team

He is all wise and powerful

Jesus is his name

PINK SAT./PINK IS STILL SHOWING UP

take a good look around, you might just find that the pink fairy's been buzzing around your house LOL I seen this picture a few years back & it just made me smile, little did I know back then that the pink fairy was working her magic LOL not thinking anything about it being pink cause I'm not a pink person LOL this picture called me to take it home & it's been in the sewing room ever since

I've had this pictures for years, It was a gift from friend many years ago when I started re doing the sewing room, I thought it too foo foo to go with my new prim look, turns out , there's not much prim going on in there LOL just hope it's doesn't turn into too much foo foo before it's over with LOL but figures 'd better put all that fabric to use but I do love this picture as it reminds me of a sweet friendship, maybe I'll turn the guest room into a foo foo room LOL

TWEAKING THE SEWING ROOM

I've been tweaking, & rearranging & more rearranging the sewing room for quite some time & I think I finally got it LOL, the final finally will be on my raggedys-n-prims blog

now who says bunnies are just for Easter LOL these little guys are so sweet, there's something about them that just makes me smile, & we know it's good to surround ourselves with things that make us smile soooooo I decided they shall get to come into the sewing room with me

I've also incorporated my husbands childhood toy box into the sewing room, these little guys too a shinning to it right off!

the toy box is in front of my desk that holds my sewing maching which is facing a recliner, well that's all the peeking for now LOL LOL hopefully the sewing room makeover will be complete within the week, if you haven't visited our other blog http://nannasraggedys-n-prims.blogspot.com/ by & see what's happening, I'm also workign on finishing a quilt that I startd with my Aunt a few years ago, I feel the urge to get it done & take it buy & show her that I finished it, as she can no longer quilt due to her health

SUNDAY SELECTIONS

It's been a busy week, our pastor turned 50, my youngest daughter & family went to Disney world,sent lots of pictures every day

we got a van, now to start a fresh new week with all new adventures, this week will be filled catching up on hugs & kisses from the grand babies of course LOL, just look how the twins have grown, they keep us laughing hair appointments, dentist appointments,catching up on unfinished sewing projects, yard work, studing for upcoming Ladies meeting, yes the fun never stops here at Nanna's Place LOL, a few books I pulled from my library to read & study this week

do you ever have one of those rare stay at home moments, nobody calls, nobody needs you , a day you can click your heels & say awww there's no place like home,well yesterday started that way, do you ever get excited to clean the house LOL trust me if you're on the go all the time that will become a joy within it's self LOL so here we go, wash those cloths! wash those dishes! faa laa laa la la la la aww I think I shall make homemade chicken-n-dumplings you know the kind you get messy rolling out LOL , & peach cobbler, it's all good , The Night Of The Museum is coming on, peach cobbler's done whoo hoo! Date Night! LOL LOL then the phone rings, No! don't answer that! oh man it was work begging please please please, now mind you this was date night LOL oh well more for me! LOL & he's off all week so they'll be lots of road trips, tweekign the house, working in the yard oh yea I'm making a list LOL LOL

just melt one stick of butter into a baking dish( I like country crock) & melt in the microwave) add a can of peaches

TOPPING

1 cup flour

1cup sugar

1 cup milk

whisk together & pore of peaches bake till golden brown, top with ice cream & waa la

I can't wait to take the grandkids back to pick peaches again this summer, the twins are 2 now maybe they'll get to go, I'm gonna need a van LOL

BLUE MONDAY....OH THE WEATHER....

is cloudy, looks like rain but not to worry ,for there's plenty to do inside, so come on in, the coffee's ready

the blue willow makes it taste just right & as you know Maxwell makes it good to the last drop LOL, I'm so glad you came,help yourself to a cookie from my preciouse antique cookie jar

isn't she just the sweetest, I knew she had to come home with me the moment I saw her, she belonged to the owner of the antique shop who had just brought her in that morning, ohhh how could she part with such a sweetie , but was glad she got to come home with me, I assured her that she would be loved & well taken care of & that there were many new friends waiting to meet her for you see I have a cookie jar collection LOL, I haven't been antiquing in a while, haven't seen a gotta have it cookie jar in a while...hummm where would I put one if I found one hummm ohhhhh before I get sidetracked or take off antiquing I'd better tell you to go by & say hello to Sally over at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/ where you'll meet many more great Blue Monday particicpants

Pink Saturday ! LOL

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL OUR MOTHER'S & MOTHER'S TO BE!

TMTT /TUNA NOODEL SALAD

If you love tuna & anything to do with tuna, then you'll love this, this has been & still is an old stand by for something good & quick for many years, since sister just made it recently I went ahead & snagged her picture shhhh! LOL I'm not a big tuna fan but this I will make LOL about the only time I will buy tuna is when I want to make this, another good thing about this is it has ingredients that you usually will have on hand at all times

you will need...........................

1 12oz. can tuna(in oil) drained..the large can

2 c. elbow macaroni(cooked till tender&drained)

5 boiled eggs(chopped)

1/2 small jar of dill pickle relish

1c. mayo

salt /pepper to taste

sister adds 1 tbsp. yellow mustard to hers

mix all ing. & chill in refrigerator, it's good hot too if you can't wait LOL but taste best cold

serve with saltine crackers

the weather is changing & the flowers are starting to wake up from their winters nap, seems like all my Irises, lilies, you name it, they've all gone crazy LOL everything has tripled & needs thinning out I should be happy as this means more flowers, more flower beds right? humm well we shall see how that goes later LOL
